Philadelphia Flower Show Window Installation

This window installation was completed as part of a collaboration with the Philadelphia Flower Show. The theme in 2017 was Holland so the goal was to create and installation that represents Holland while still fitting into a Japanese lifestyle store. Tulips were chosen to symbolize Holland while the color blue was used to merge the two cultures. The blue represents the Delftware that originates from the Dutch as well as the indigo shibori dyes that come from the Japanese. To tie the piece together, shibori dyed cloths were hung from the ceiling as part of the installation and Japanes ceramics and additional tulips were placed on the window sill.
